Venue Terms

What a venue agrees to when it claims or lists a venue on VenueScout.

Draft for legal review — not yet approved by counsel. Version 0.1-draft · 2026-10-23. Text in [square brackets] is a placeholder the owner must fill in.

Listing and claiming

By claiming or listing a venue you confirm that you own it or are authorised to act for the owner. Our team reviews each claim and may ask for evidence. A listing can be suspended if it is inaccurate, misleading or not claimed by the right person.

Accuracy

Capacities, prices, availability, photos and floor plans you publish must be true and kept up to date. Where you add a layout to Event Map by VenueScout, the numbers you give are the numbers organisers will plan against.

Quotes and bookings

A quote you send in reply to a request is an offer. When the organiser accepts it in VenueScout the booking is confirmed and you are bound by the quote. Do not move organisers off the platform to avoid fees on a booking that started here.

Fees

VenueScout charges the fees shown on the pricing page and in your console at the time of the booking. Fees are illustrative until the owner publishes the final schedule: [Final fee schedule and VAT treatment — to be confirmed].

Reviews and replies

Organisers with a confirmed booking can review your venue. You can reply publicly once to each review from your console. You may not pressure reviewers, offer rewards for reviews, or post reviews of your own venue. See the review policy.

Data

You receive organisers' contact details to answer their requests and must use them only for that, in line with the privacy notice.

Ending

You can unlist at any time. We may suspend a venue for breach of these terms. Confirmed bookings stay in force unless both sides agree otherwise or the refund policy applies.
